How time slips away. It’s amazing how much can happen in such a short time. Between trying to find a kidney for my father (not the easiest task), having a horrible stomach infection for weeks, taking a vacation to San Diego and another to New Jersey and Wisconsin, and moving (ugh), it’s been difficult to find a minute! (p.s…if you ever get the opportunity to take a bi-plane ride over the coast, I highly recommend it!). But the vacations were a blast, and I LOVE our new place (private rooftop deck with a gorgeous view, anyone?)!!
In career-related news, I finally got my SAG card. It’s a huge milestone for me, and although it was a lot of red tape and hassle, it feels good to be ‘official’. Now I just need to start booking some good gigs…
I’ve had a few auditions here and there -- about six in August, only one in September, and a couple in October. They were mostly for short films and webisodes, but one was a pilot, which I did get. I believe my scenes shoot in the next couple of weeks. And on Sunday, I’m shooting a short as a run-though for a project called 52 Films/52 Weeks – A Year of Filmmaking that will start in January. I will also be auditioning for a number of one-act plays that will be performed at the Alliance Repertory Company in January…I’m looking forward to getting back on stage!
